How to convert images to a PDF
- Add one or more photos with the upload box above. JPG, PNG, WEBP and other common image types work.
- Check the order in the list. Each photo becomes one page. Use ↑ and ↓ to move a photo, or ✕ to remove it.
- Press Create PDF Document.
- Download the PDF.
How the pages are made
Every page is A4. Each photo is scaled to fit inside the page with a 10 mm margin, without stretching it, and is centred. Photos that are wider than they are tall get a landscape page, and other photos get a portrait page. Transparent images are placed on a white background.
Good uses
- Turn photos of an ID, certificate or mark sheet into one PDF for an application.
- Combine pictures of handwritten notes or a printed document into a single file.
- Make a printable PDF from several photos.
Tips for readable document photos
- Take each photo straight from above, in even light, with the whole page in view.
- Avoid shadows across the page and reflections on glossy paper.
- Crop away the table or floor around the paper before you add the photo, if your phone allows it.
- Put the pages in order before you press the button. Use the arrows if you need to fix it later.
File size
To keep the PDF reasonable, each photo is reduced to a maximum of 2400 pixels on its longest side and saved as a high-quality JPG inside the PDF. If the finished PDF is still above a portal's limit, use the PDF compressor on it, or reduce the size of the photos first with the image compressor. To join the new PDF with other PDFs, use the PDF merge tool.
Limits
- The page size is always A4. There is no page size or margin setting.
- Photos your browser cannot open, such as some iPhone HEIC photos, are not supported. Export them as JPG first.
- The PDF is made of pictures, so the text in it cannot be selected. To get text out of a photo, use the text extractor.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The PDF is created in your browser and your photos are not sent to our servers. See the privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Will my photos be stretched to fill the page?
No. Each photo keeps its shape and is centred on the page with a margin.
Can I change the order of pages?
Yes. Use the arrow buttons next to each photo before you create the PDF.
Why is my PDF large?
Photos contain a lot of detail. Compress the PDF afterwards or use smaller photos.
